Today alongside our campsite, a lake appeared! The children coloured in cardboard fish to place in the lake with every inch coloured.
After tying pipe cleaner to the fish, we fished for them using fishing rods made out of bamboo sticks, ribbon, and sparkly pipe cleaners. The children showed a natural talent for fishing, hooking one after another and choosing to place them in the boat to take home.
When they got back to their campsite, they decided to measure the fish. Using the measuring stick, the children counted how many inches their fish was pointing to each number as they counted. They seemed very happy with the size of their fish and were very keen to fish for more.
