International Dinosaur Day

On 1st of June, in celebration of International Dinosaur Day, we set up a tray filled with mud and hidden dinosaur skeletons beneath. A group of children eagerly pretended to be archaeologists, using brushes and shovels to uncover the bones.

Before beginning their scavenger hunt, we read a book about dinosaurs—discussing when they lived, the different types, how they became extinct, and distinguishing between herbivores and carnivores. Many children demonstrated impressive knowledge by naming various dinosaurs. This activity not only engaged their curiosity and critical thinking but also fostered empathy; some children didn't find bones during the hunt, but those who found more shared with others. Everyone had fun and learned a lot!
