We asked the children what activities we would like to do in the coming weeks for our Spring topic and one of the ideas suggested was to plant some flowers, so we planted some sunflowers!🌻 We decorated our own plant pot with some Spring themed stickers (watering can, flowers and easter eggs) then filled these pots with fresh soil. We explained to the children that we need to put and keep soil in the pot because this is where the sunflower seeds grow from. We then picked out two sunflower seeds to put into the plant pot, pressed these into the soil and then covered it back up. We then poured some water into the plant pot as I told the children this is what the sunflower needs to drink in order to grow tall. Now we just have to wait and see how these turn out!🤞
