This morning the children headed into the polytunnel to help prepare our nursery lunch by picking tons of tomatoes. The tomatoes have been blooming at the nursery that the kids picked too many to go into the soup.
Nothing was wasted though as, the children ate the rest of the tomatoes as a mid-morning snack. Tasting the big red and yellow tomatoes and devouring the small cherry tomatoes, the children have learned that ripe tomatoes come in all shapes, sizes, and colours.
